The Trench coat makes a remarkable statement and is obviously a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. This item is probably the most versatile item in outerwear, and with the vast styles and colors of the trench coat there is definitely no excuse for anybody not to have one. Here are some of my favorites

We are always looking for a great Blazer to add to our fashion vaults, and Zara has three that we are crazy about. Zara is one of our favorite places to shop because they stay in front of fashion and trends. These blazers are so chic, with something special about all of them. We found them at Zara.com, check them out!

During the summer our skin requires different care than it does in the winter. This could include a different skin regimen altogether, or maybe adding some things like sun block or self-tanners. Even though we always want to look our best, everyone likes to take up a couple notches when the warm weather arrives. I have compiled a list of my favorite beauty products I use during summer. What do you use? I’d love to hear about the products you swear by. I love trying new products!
Tonight’s two-hour MTV Movie award show was such a blast, the event was hosted by the entertaining Russell Brand whose jokes could have used some work. Fun. opened the night with their We Are Young with Janelle Monae , and we loved it. Anyway, the highlight of our night was the ROCK OUT performance by Johnny Depp with the Black Keys! Johnny Depp accepted his Generation Award before performing a second number with the band.
The Hunger Games was a favorable winner with Jennifer Lawrence winning Best Female Performance and cast mate Josh Hutcherson winning Best Male, and both won Best Fight alongside Alexander Ludwig.
Other winners included Jennifer Aniston- Dirtbag Award, Shailene Woodley-Breakthrough Performance Award, Daniel Radcliffe- Best Hero, Elizabeth Banks-Best Transformation Award, and Emma Stone- Trailblazer Award.
As expected, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I claimed the Movie of the Year Award, and cast members Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the Best Kiss Award. Didn’t we all see that coming?
So a couple of days ago I decided to try out Lyst.com and fell in love with the site. Now those of you who are familiar with Lyst are probably thinking what blogger wouldn’t love Lyst ? Well, I didn’t just fall for it because of all the great perks that are available, but it’s just an awesome site! It’s a shoppers dream, and extremely user-friendly.
While setting up my “Lyst” I discovered some really awesome stuff, but when I searched by designer that’s when it happened. I am a huge fan of 3.1 Phillip Lim, so obviously I started with him. Everything on the page was absolute heaven, but since I wanted to share the “Loves of my Lyst” with you, I kept it at a minimum. Well kinda. Anyway, take a look! All the items below are available along with my other favorites at lyst.com/kimdanielle.

I have never been so happy to have insomnia! I mean if it wasn’t for the fact I couldn’t sleep, I wouldn’t have found all these fabulous items to post about. Well maybe eventually I would have, but not tonight. Of course these are the items my ♥ stopped for …. but I want to know what your favorite item is?
Summer is approaching and we’ve taken notice to some of the summer trends we will see more of this year. Shorts are playing a huge part in this summers biggest trends. Cutoffs, Bermudas, skorts, tie dye, pleated, draped, lace and even studded! Check these out!
Here are some other looks from the
red white carpet at this years 2012 Billboard Music Awards…..
All photos from Billboard.
Last nights 2012 Billboard Music Awards was definitely a must see, packed with exciting fashions and high energy! The show kicked into high gear with an awesome performance from no other than LMFAO. The music event was hosted by Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen, both of ABC’s Modern Family. So who was this years biggest winners and hottest performers?
Well, Adele came in as the nights biggest winner taking home 12 awards, with titles that included Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Pop Album, for 21, and Top Alternative Song, for “Rolling in the Deep and Top Digital artist to name a few. LMFAO also scored big claiming six awards last night! Some other top performances on the show included Linkin Park, Chris Brown, and Katy Perry.
Now, who were some of the best dressed on last nights White Carpet?
Carrie Underwood was our absolute favorite in a stunning Oscar De La Renta Gown, and Miley Cyrus in Jean Paul Gaultier double-breasted jacket worn as a dress. Normally this would not have a been a look we liked, but Miley is probably the only one who can pull this stunt. Ever!
Here are some of our other favorite show stopping looks of the night: (all photos from Billboard.com)
The Finale of Fashion Star opened up with Jessica Simpson’s Spring 2012 collection on the runway. This was actually Jessica’s first runway show and we must say it was a beautiful and colorful collection. The beach like collection really came down the runway making a statement, but presenting a calmness at the same time. We really enjoyed Jessica’s collection. We happen to know that Jessica’s spring collection can be purchased at Macy’s and Jessicasimpson.com
Alright, where do we start? Well, We really looked forward to Nzimiro Oputas’ well-dressed, can’t wait to introduce you to my dad collections. After all what woman doesn’t love a well dressed man? The once mechanical engineer is definitely a talent men should be on the look out for. The collections created for Macy’s Saks, and H&M were all very well thought out, and constructed perfectly for the intended retailers.
Nzimiro took an enormous risk during the finale when he created a womens look intended to mirror his mens looks, but did so with excellent delivery. The Mentors (Jessica Simpson, John Varvatos, and Nicole Richie) were very pleased. John Varvatos quoted saying, ”You (Nzimiro) are a brother from another mother”. Take a look at some of Nzmiro’s looks below. Very well done Nzimiro!
Oh Ronnie! We were really pulling for you. Before fashion, Ronnie served in the US Navy for four years. Upon completion he enrolled in fashion school in San Francisco and later went on to work for well-known designers Zac Posen and Chad Ralph Rucci. We definitely understood your vision every single time your designs hit the runway!
We absolutely loved your white suit you designed for Macy’s, and we want one. Jessica Simpson also understood your vision quoted saying, “what woman wouldn’t want to wear that dress, you’re like the unsung hero” speaking of the LBD you designed for H&M. The Jumpsuit you designed for H&M was also very chic and desirable. Have a look below. Ronnie has a true craft. I am sure we will see much more of what you have to offer and we can’t wait!
Fashion Star winner Kara Laricks used to teach fourth grade prior to designing. It’s apparent she is multi skilled, because her designs never disappoint. Karas’ designs are like a breath of fresh air for women who dare to be different or desire a wardrobe with a little edge. Saks really seemed to fall hard for Kara and most of her designs. As Terron Schaefer said, “Kara is definitely a leader and not a follower”. Kara’s designs are definitely not for everyone, but she surely is something special.
As the winner, Kara received a $6M grand prize and all her designs bought prior and in the finale show are all currently for sale in all three retailers. We will be keeping our eye out for her as she blazes a new trail in the endless world of fashion.
